September 1, 2008 ~ Dianna Griffin Photography announces the launch of 1st annual Senior High Portrait Scholarship. Being a former foster parent, I know that there are kids out there in their senior year of high school who will not be getting their senior photos taken. Whether it’s due to being in a single parent home, being in foster care or simply having a family who’s income does not allow the otherwise luxury of a senior high portrait session/package they simply will not have any photos taken. Therefore, I would like to introduce what I hope will be a yearly tradition for both my company as well as the Marysville, Fairbanks and North Union High Schools; a Senior Scholarship program in the form of a senior portrait package. The rules, or guidelines are really very simple. Anybody can nominate a senior student who they think deserves a senior package. It can be anybody (a teacher, a parent, a sibling, a friend, a student counselor, themselves, etc) ~ anybody can nominate a student.
To do so they simply must write an essay telling me why they think this senior deserves a package and mail it to me to be received by October 31, 2008. Please no emails or phone calls. I will need a contact name and phone number for both the person submitting the essay and for the senior they are nominating. I will then award one student from Marysville High School, Fairbanks High School and North Union High School a Senior Portrait gift certificate with a value of $400.00. This package will be awarded by November 15th, 2008 with an expiration date of June 30, 2009, and can only be used for that senior’s portraits (it’s non-transferable and can not be used for a family photo session). This initial Senior Scholarship is for current seniors only (those that will graduate in June of 2009). Depending on the response, I am looking at offering it again (most likely in January/February 2009) for the upcoming graduating seniors. Mail all essays to:
Dianna Griffin Photography 313 S. Plum Street Marysville, OH 43040 June 1, 2008 ~ Dianna Griffin Photography launches "The Nancy Project"; creating photographic legacies for families affected by cancer. Cancer changes the “face” of every person and family that it touches. As a photographer I know how important it is to have a family photo done on a regular basis. As a daughter of two parents who were both cancer patients, I wish more than anything that we had been able to get that one last family photo with everyone in it.
The Nancy Project is in honor of my mother, Nancy Schindler, who lost her battle to a rare form of brain cancer on February 2, 2004. Through it, I’m offering a free photo session and one free 8”x10” portrait for any family that has been affected by cancer ~ with absolutely no obligation to purchase anything else. For details call: 937-537-0223

August 16, 2007 ~ Local Photographer wins awards at 2007 Union County Fair. Dianna Griffin, of Dianna Griffin Photography, had all three of her photography entries in the Professional Photography class winning awards. She won first place in the Black and White as well as in the Black and White With A Touch Of Color categories. She took third place with her entry in the Color category. All three photographs were of children or infants that she has photographed for clients. “I absolutely love working with children and families” Dianna said. “The children especially have such an innocence about them that I just love to capture on film.” Dianna Griffin is a Marysville resident and specializes in photography in the comfort of her client’s home. Since she travels to the client she covers a wide range of geographical area.
April, 2007 ~ Tiny Treasures Photography is now Dianna Griffin Photography. With the birth of her son in January of 2005, Dianna Griffin realized there was a need for in-home photography of infants and children. So Dianna decided to once again tap into her decades of photography and business experience and start her business in it's new location, of Marysville, under the name of Tiny Treasures Photography. Dianna's thought was that she would limit her sessions to infants and children. However, once word got out about the beauty and quality of her photographs, she quickly started getting phone calls for other photography venues. Some of her previous clients whose weddings she photographed years ago called to book sessions with their own families and she started receiving calls to book weddings again. So, after a year and a half of operating under the name of Tiny Treasures Photography, Dianna decided to rename her company a name befitting of all the services she provides; Dianna Griffin Photography, LLC. Along with family and infant photography Dianna now accepts appointments for maternity, Senior High portraits, weddings and events.
October, 2006 ~ This October Tiny Treasures Photography will participate with an elite group of photographers around the country in a very special family portrait promotion. Throughout October we will celebrate “Family Portrait Month,” a wonderful opportunity for you update your family portrait (or portraits of your children), and at the same time help to support Operation Smile, which treats children around the world who suffer with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities. Along with other studio members of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), we have pledged to contribute a portion of each photo session fee to PPA Charities, which has chosen Operation Smile as its charitable partner.
